Tip of the Day: When visiting friends with kids, come bearing gifts! Also, in the morning when the kids wake up, pretend to be asleep as long as possible. You'll hear occasional whisperings of 'shh, Aunt (Your name here) is sleeping,' but that's a small price to pay for a few extra hours of peace and quiet!
June 17: a storm came through Clarksville the night before I left. My mom was there to pick up the dogs. We opted to stand out on the deck during the storm rather than evacuate to a safer place such as the basement. Ha!
